MTE Corporation Series D Matrix Filters® Announced
Menomonee Falls, WI - Matrix Filter® Low pass Harmonic Filters from MTE corporation
substantially reduce harmonic current distortion and improve true power factor in a wide
variety of six pulse rectifier applications while offering typicaly lower costs and smaller size than other filters.
These filters minimize harmonic distortion in applications involving AC motor drives, fans, pumps, water treatment facilities, HVAC systems, DC motor drives, rectifier type welders, diode or SCR rectifiers, induction heaters and elevators/controls. Matrix filters are simple to size, by motor HP or the full load name plate rating.
Matrix Series D Harmonics filters provide full load guaranteed performance levels of 5% total
harmonic current distortion (THID) and can be used to meet the most stringent IEEE-519
standard of (5% THID) as well as other global power requirements. The Harmonic distortion
levels are guaranteed at the input terminals to the filter. Harmonics will typically be lower
upstream. Because its guaranteed, harmonic site surveys are not required.
MTE's New Series "D" Matrix Filter® provides the following Benefits over its predecessor
the Series B Design:
Highest harmonics mitigation.
·Smaller size requires less space.
·Costs less
·Flexible mounting makes it easier to install.
