What are the rules for MTE product derating when operated at Ambient Temperatures exceeding published Standard Maximum Values?

1. Ambient Temperature is defined by MTE as that of the air in the immediate vicinity of MTE’s components. As long as the customer assumes full RESPONSIBILITY for assuring, through forced cooling, or other means, that this temperature is NOT exceeded, MTE has no other concerns in this regard.

If the Ambient Temperature is above the Standard Maximum Value but below the Absolute Maximum Value, operation may be permitted with proper derating.

2. Line/Load Reactors (RL) and DC Link Chokes (RB)

3. Other MTE Products: Please contact MTE.
