MTE FAQ Technical Support What Reactor Current Rating do I use to make a selection? Select Guard-AC line/load reactors based upon motor horsepower, (or kilowatts) and voltage. Verify that the motor full load ampere (FLA) rating is within* the fundamental current (IF) rating of the reactor, and the drive/inverter Input rating is within the maximum continuous (Thermal) current rating (ITH) of the reactor. *Sometimes, when the actual FLA exceeds (IF) only by a fraction of an Amp, or by no more than 9%, you do NOT have to choose the next larger size.
